Meet the Team: Lynn Wang
Tell us about yourself.
I’m the Strategic Partnerships Manager who oversees the GTI’s Asia programs and business development.
Tell us what you were doing before you came to NC State/GTI.
I worked as the Asia Recruitment Manager in St. Lawrence College’s International Education Office in Canada. I also worked for McMaster University (Canada) as the MBA Program Analyst and China Recruiter. I spent more than a decade working for several Fortune 500 companies in China, such as Electrolux, Nokia, Motorola, and Samsung, in marketing and sales as well as customer relationship management. After obtaining my MBA from Canada McMaster University, I made the shift to international education where I has successfully built up recruiting networks, established in-country offices in China, Vietnam and Malaysia, and increased international student enrollment for both McMaster University and St. Lawrence College.
Tell us what you do in a few sentences.
I explore new business opportunities (new programs, new intakes and new partners) through different channels, build up our client portfolios, identify customers’ training needs, make the budget, provide proposals, recruit faculty, assist with curriculum design as well as supervise the program associates on the implementations.
