2022 Winter Data Science Awards

NC State’s Global Training Initiative has awarded three students the “Academic Excellence Award” from the recently completed online winter data science program. About 30 students joined the 10-day program, which provided them with hands-on exposure to key tools and technologies including Python and Tableau.

The students were judged on their interest and motivation throughout the program, their communication skills, and their teamwork and academic performance. The three students chosen for this award are:

• Ruohao Zhan from Zhejiang University
• Yinzhou Yang from Southern University of Science and Technology
• Qingyi Sun from Soochow University
