In general, sharing your global story is an opportunity for gaining new knowledge and challenging your perspective. It’s not a competition–except for this one time each year. NC State Global’s annual Think & Do in 2: Global Storytelling Competition challenges NC State students to share their personal global experience in 6 photos, each for 20 seconds. During these 2-minute performances, students explore human relationships, distant corners of the globe, and even local customs as they share the impact of travel on their own personal growth.
The 2019 Think and Do in 2 Champion is Shawn Fredericks, a senior in NC State’s International Studies undergraduate degree program. As a past participant in GTI’s commUNITY unCONFERENCE Interfaith Retreat and an On-Site Coordinator for our Global LeaderShape program with Zhejiang University, Shaun’s 2-minute story expertly highlights his focus on identity, leadership and spirituality.
Check out all eight of the 2019 performances on the NC State Global webpage.
And be sure to check out other International Education Month programming at NC State University during the month of November.
